A Winter Wonderland. Bang on time again!

We are all feeling delighted after the heat of the summer – Winter has arrived with a bang  and on time again!   With any luck we will keep a blanket of snow covering the garden like last year.  It was a fluffy duvet-like covering  exactly one year ago – and look what we got again last week!  So we’re all ready to dive into winter again – the hot tub’s up to speed too for everyone’s aching bones.

Morin has been welcoming guests since the beginning of December this year – everyone wanting to catch the last of the warmer days – and enjoying the garden…..as a wild boar sounder did too.  Sounder – a new word to us – is the collective noun for wild boar.  We wish we hadn’t learnt it but we are in the mountains so have to accept whatever is thrown at us!  Just as we had got Morin’s garden back to condition after the water restrictions of the long hot summer along comes a sounder  of 11 wild boar, at the last count,  feeding their way through Morin’s lawn.  Tony was not pleased after all his hard work.  But now the snow is falling, the ground is frozen and apparently wild boar have short legs and don’t like walking through the snow.  Result!  Hopefully the garden gods will make sure that everything is fine and dandy when the ground thaws in the spring after our uninvited rotavation team.  In the meantime its as pretty as a picture underneath a blanket of snow.

But for now you can enjoy the view of the garden from the comfort of Morin and enjoy a relaxing chill out beside the log fire or slip into the hot tub’s soothing warm waters after a day up the hill.   Olivia and Tony are making sure the chalet’s just as you want – and if it’s a real holiday you’re after we can sort out your catering to meet all needs and budgets.

Looking forward to hosting you all again this winter.

Happy Christmas to you all.
